Originally from Ocean City, Maryland, Taylor Renea Sloan grew up in a town that thrives on tourism. She has a B.A. in English with a writing and rhetoric concentration and communication arts minor from Salisbury University (2014), previously attending Loyola University Maryland (2010-2012).
Taylor is a budding paralegal for a personal injury/tort law firm in Baltimore City. She originally began her college career as a pre-law student, steered toward the journalistic and story telling side of her degree for a few years, and she is now spending her weekdays case searching, sending emails and writing/reviewing court pleadings. Her goal is University of Baltimore Law School Fall of 2022.
Taylor published her first poetry book T.R.S.Poetry Volume I in March of 2021. T.R.S.Poetry Volume I is available online through Amazon, Kindle E-book, Walmart, Books-A-Million, and Barnes and Noble. She published her second edition including never before published blog posts in April of 2021. T.R.S.Poetry Volume II is available on Amazon and Kindle E-book. Taylor recently launched T.R.S. Taylor is the NUE Baltimore Associate Publisher. NUE Baltimore focuses on what Baltimore is. The NUE BALTIMORE MOVEMENT is the collaboration amongst artists, politicians, community leaders, writers, small-businesses, and those working toward the betterment of humanity for the sakes of humanitarianism and kindness. Taylor’s goal as the associate publisher for the Baltimore lifestyle scene is to change the viewpoints of others toward Baltimore by highlighting how amazing this city is, and how people go above and beyond to create inclusion by still allowing ideas, thoughts and creative initiatives to be exuded.

In July of 2020 she created her own company, Taylor Sloan Social. She began her social media marketing career in Charleston assisting with Sunrise Bistro Mount Pleasant and Summerville Restaurants, as well as Topsail Restaurant in Oct. 2019. Early in the Fall of 2020, she shifted her attention toward another business partner’s restaurants to gain more clientele and exposure during the Covid-19 pandemic. These restaurants being Bricco Bracco Restaurante (Charleston | Mount Pleasant) and Joey Tomatoes (Mount Pleasant and Daniel Island locations).
She is a former executive assistant for two real estate properties and real estate investment companies. She conducted property research, and sought investors via Facebook groups and LinkedIn. She managed the companies’ social media for Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Blogger, LinkedIn pages, owners’ personal LinkedIn, and WordPress websites.
Prior to her Charleston move in May of 2019, she worked for the Web Design and Marketing Agency D3 Corp, located in West Ocean City, Maryland. Her main focus was ExploreOC.com, an Ocean City Tourism Website. While working on Explore OC, she learned the ins-and-outs of content creation, the importance of SEO and time management. She also worked on the back end of Explore OC, and the administrative side of a few client WordPress hosted sites, entering information and updating site pages.
Prior, she had a lifestyle and events column, starting in April 2016 until January 2018 at Ocean City Today Newspaper, located in Ocean City, Maryland. Previously, writing lifestyle articles at an internship with OC Today during her last semester at Salisbury University in 2014.
During her senior year of high school (2010) at Stephen Decatur, located in Berlin, Md., she interned at the Worcester County State’s Attorney Office (Snow Hill, Md.) assisting the Community Service Department with paperwork, files and administrative tasks.
